ABC15: Council Votes Against Medical Pot Tax

POT TV – Phoenix City Council nixes idea to tax medical marijuana to pay for public safety, ABC15 reports.

Tax and regulate seems to be the economic argument for legalization in many states, but some cities are taking advantage of the citizens they’ve criminalized for years by raising taxes while continuing drug war enforcement.

Phoenix City Council voted against an additional tax, as high as 15%, on medical cannabis to pay for more police officers and firefighters.

Arizona continues to fight patients on extracts, arresting users and delaying amnesty.
